Lawrence D. Kaplan is Executive Vice President of Kaplan Financial Services. He is a Certified Financial Planner™ and holds a Master’s of Science in Financial Planning, awarded with distinction from Bentley University. Lawrence brings a focus on the psychology of financial planning to the Kaplan Financial team, having studied how culture and personal history affect people’s financial decision making, along with the effects of behavioral finance on markets and investing. These understandings serve our clients well, and underpin the firm’s people-centered approach. Lawrence also studied specialized planning strategies for seniors, and continues to create tailored offerings for Kaplan Financial’s older clients.
Lawrence is an Investment Adviser Representative with LPL Financial and has been an active member of the Financial Planning Association since joining Kaplan Financial in 2009.
Working directly with our clients, Lawrence advises on all aspects of the financial planning process: asset allocation and investment management with respect to tax efficiency; retirement and estate planning analysis; and risk management.
Before joining Kaplan Financial, Lawrence spent 10 years consulting in technology and business training, serving clients such as, Harvard Business School, American Express, Dow Corning, Unilever, Cisco, United Technologies, and Microsoft.
